Jannicke is a great host! She is resposive and helpful. She assisted us in every way possible, and we truly enjoyed her Casa Oxytocin. The design of the building is superb and modern. The rooftop terrace is just heaven. The area is safe, and the people are friendly. We will be back soon......

This was by far my favourite experience. This town house was amazing. A dream come true. I loved the quite area. The space is gorgeous and really well decorated. So much beautiful outdoor space. There were beers in the fridge there was soap and fresh linens and towels in each room. The price was so inexpensive for the value. I can't wait to come back!!

Jannicke's townhouse in Progreso is so stylish and beautiful! The pictures are very accurate and do a great job of showing what a lovely house this is. When my friends and I arrived an hour early, her local contact Marlene and a cleaning crew were hard at work making the place absolutely spotless for our arrival. They did an outstanding job - it was impeccably clean. Once we settled in, we were extremely comfortable. The townhouse is only two blocks from the beach in a quiet neighborhood. We were not there during peak tourist season, so it may have been quieter than during July or when the cruise ships dock, but we found it to be very peaceful. Everyone in Progreso was extremely friendly, especially Marlene, Jannicke's local contact. She was very accommodating, helpful, and full of great advice on what to see and do around Progreso and Merida. Jannicke also provided a great binder of information about the neighborhood and the surrounding town. We found it very helpful! At the end of our stay, we were sad to leave... the townhouse was so comfortable and luxurious. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I would happily recommend staying here! The house was very nice and cozy, everything was exactly as seen on the pictures. Everything was clean, the bath and kitchen were really great. We even got a refreshing present by Jannicke. The perfect surprise on a hot day in Progreso.
The house is located near the beach and in walking distance to the city centre. We would definitely recommend this place.

Jannicke's house was exactly as the pictures advertised. During the booking process, Jannicke was quick to respond to messages, and willing to work with us to provide the amenities we required. (For instance, we required internet access on all three levels of the house as well as an office area for computer work.) Upon arrival, everything looked like it did in the pictures, wifi was accessible throughout the house, and there was even a 6 pack of Corona (along with a jug of clean drinking water) in the fridge for us. The neighborhood is friendly and safe, with many small restaurants around (Pizza Crunch on 27 and El Toro on 25 are both very good). I could walk a few blocks to the Oxxo convenience store even at midnight, and I felt perfectly safe.

The house's location was close enough so that we could easily walk to the Malecon and the downtown Progreso market, but far enough away so that we got to experience the less ``touristy`` parts of Progreso. Although we were in Mexico, the house itself felt much more European or American than Mexican-- in other words, we truly felt ``at home.`` Even during our stay, Jannicke was quick to respond to AirBnB messages.

The only real surprise was that the realty/cleaning company required us to pay cash for our electricity consumption before we left. (We knew we had to pay for electricity before leaving, but I assumed it would either come out of our security deposit or be charged to my credit card). Luckily we had enough cash on had to cover the bill with no trouble. (I would recommend only running the air-conditioning at night, with the bedroom doors closed).

Over-all, we had a lovely experience at Jannicke's Casa Oxytocin, and I would definitely book it again, if given the opportunity.
